You Are Worthy in These 2 Proven Ways

You are Worthy
You Are Worthy

Everyone is worthy! You are worthy! Yet, many people say they do not feel worthy. Or their actions do not show they do. Why is it some people see their worth and many people do not?

“Self-worth comes from one thing – thinking you are worthy.” Wayne Dyer (Brainy Quotes, 2021, Accessed January 22, 2021. Wayne Dyer – Self-worth comes from one thing -think… (brainyquote.com)

As you read this and think on it, I hope you rethink and consider how worthy and valuable you are.

Innate value

To believe in people, which includes you and me, one must believe every person has an innate worth or value.

Our founding fathers recognized that everyone has innate worth. In the Declaration of Independence, they stated an individual’s worth. It says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men … are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights.” (Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc. 2021, Accessed January 22, 2021. Declaration of Independence – Text of the Declaration of Independence | Britannica )

And Max Lucado said, “You are valuable because you exist. Not because of what you do or what you have done, but simply because you are.” (Healing Brave, 2021, Accessed January 22, 2021. You Are Worthy: 14 Affirmative Quotes to Remind You That’s True – Healing Brave.

Hence, what a woman or man does, adds to, or reinforces, her or his innate worth.

Mental Being

You are a mental being and so is every person.  This means you are more are than an animal of flesh and blood. As a human being, a person can think for herself or himself.

Furthermore, every human being is born with free will. This means you have the right of choice and the power to choose. So, if a person thinks about what having the power to choose and think mean to one, one realizes her or his innate worth.

Thus, because one wants to feel worthy, one may want to choose to claim the power to think and the power of choice. And assert them. If you do, you claim your worth or value as an individual. Thus, you feel worthy.

Then, I would not tell you to choose to hold thoughts that support your innate worth. Or thoughts to believe you are worthy to add value to self. Or to choose to believe you deserve your good. That is up to you, your choice. You follow your passion. To make this choice, you might ask yourself, “What would it mean to me to feel worthy? Or how will it change my life? How would it make me feel?”

Hence, one’s belief in her or his worth becomes one’s motivation to add value to self. To honor the worth that she or he were born with. It is celebrating one’s value and giving thanks for it.

Summary

“The greatest urge in human nature is the desire to feel important, “said John Dewy. (Goodreads, Inc. 2021, Accessed January 23, 2021. Quote by John Dewey: “The deepest urge in human nature is the desire …” goodreads.com)  He was an educational philosopher in the nineteenth and twentieth century. Many considered him the greatest philosopher of the Twentieth century.

Why not choose to feel worthy. Why not choose to like yourself? And why not choose to feel deserving and pursue your good? Since every person’s worth is his or hers, then it is up to you to make this choice for you to feel worthy.
