What does success mean to you? Would you like the success you desire in life?
For some people it means money to pay bills and do what they like doing while others want wealth. Then, some people want power or influence while others want to make a difference in the world.
What the force for success is.
Self-esteem authorities believe one’s self-esteem determines one’s degree of achievement Zig Ziglar said, “The strongest factor for success is self-esteem.” Similarly, Jack Canfield says, “Greater self-esteem produces greater success and greater success produces more high self-esteem, so it keeps on spiraling up.”
Furthermore, some other authorities believe that self-esteem affects all areas of one’s life. Thus, they believe it is vital to both one’s personal and professional life and thus to one’s happiness.
Authorities add the value of self-esteem in personal life.
Nathaniel Branden said, “Tell me how a person judges his or her self-esteem, and I will tell you how that person operates at work, in love, in sex, in parenting, in every important aspect of existence-and how high he or she is likely to rise. The reputation you have with yourself-your self-esteem is the single most important fact of a fulfilling life.”
Finally, Sidney Simon, in his book, Forgiveness: How to Make Peace with Your Past and Get on with Your Life, says, “Self-Esteem is the bottom line for healing and forgiveness.”
Personal experience illustrates this.
Furthermore, there are people who know from personal experience that this is true. Some have had a person who felt intimidated by who they were or their life to undermine their self-esteem. Sometimes the person attempted to do so to elevate her/himself or someone else to a position. Other times, the person hoped to feel better about who he was. Then, some others had a person to do so to feel more important to that person. Thus, these people learned the value of self-esteem. So, they acted to build self-esteem and to protect their self-esteem.
Why this is the driving force.
“The Force for Success”, chapter 1 of Achieve Success with Self-Esteem explains why self-esteem is the driving force for achievement. Also, an illustration of a leading psychologist demonstrates why self-esteem is the crucial factor. Furthermore, presented is an explanation of his findings.
